A “forever student,” after completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2019, she has gone on to complete an advanced kids yoga teacher training, become a certified Ayurvedic nutritionist as well as a mindfulness coach and is currently working to complete a 300 hour teacher training.  When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga, Julie can be found spending time with her two boys, husband, and plethora of pets.

Nei Huynh

Driven by an insatiable curiosity and desire to explore, Nei set out to travel the world, including an extended stay in India in 2019 and 2024, where she obtained her 500 hours of teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. She navigated various yoga teaching opportunities in many corners of the world since. Nei's approach to teaching has always been about bringing practitioners with all physical levels and backgrounds to be in harmony with their own nature and grace. Placing equal importance on the physical and spiritual aspects of asanas, practitioners receive the maximum benefit of the traditional yoga practice. As a yogi who practices raja yoga and follows the Dharma teaching, she structures her classes with a holistic and beginner mindset. Using asanas as a foundation allows practitioners to sync in with their breath and deepen the other limbs of yoga. The beginner mindset helps practitioners let go of their egos and stay present intimately in each practice.

She fell in love with yoga’s deep cultural roots, spiritual teachings and philosophy. Her love for learning led her to pursue a 500 hour teacher training and a massage therapy program, both of which she is currently working on.Through yoga and massage she hopes to encourage people to foster connection, trust their intuition and activate the teacher within. She believes that yoga is for everybody and every-body and that a yoga practice can begin without ever stepping foot on a mat.

Sara

Sara's yoga journey started over 10 years ago while looking to add movement to her life in a way that felt sustainable. While it began as only a physical practice, it grew to become a lifestyle, correlating with her passion for holistic wellness. After being called to a change, she left her job as a clinical dietitian in 2021 and traveled to Bali to complete her 200 hour yoga teacher training. She continued to travel and live abroad and has taught in Portugal, the Bahamas, and Tulum, Mexico over the last 1.5 years. She incorporates not only asanas but also pranayama and meditation as a way of introducing the multifaceted principles and 8 limb approach to yoga with her students. She truly believes in the transformative power of yoga and holding space for all practitioners to feel safe, connect, and to grow. Now a resident of Minneapolis, she looks forward to being a part of The Yoga Room community.

Tia Cappillino Instructor Photo.jpeg

Tia Cappillino (she/her)

Tia is an E-RYT 200 and RPYT (Prenatal). She discovered yoga during college as a new physical challenge after a background in athletics, but quickly embraced its mental benefits. The practice eventually became a lifeline for her during a career in the corporate world, and as she transitioned into motherhood. She completed her 200 hour training at Radiant Life Yoga in 2016 and began teaching right after. She fell in love with prenatal yoga during her first pregnancy, and later completed her Prenatal Yoga training at Blooma in 2021 with Sarah Longacre. Her classes welcome all experience levels and encourage students to experiment with variations of postures that feel good in their unique bodies & minds on any given day. When she isn’t trying to keep up with her 3 young children or teaching yoga, she’s practicing yoga, running, playing soccer, or getting lost in a good book. She looks forward to meeting you on the mat soon!

Alicia Jackson

In love with the concept of balance, Alicia first saw yoga as a natural counterpart to high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts in 2011 and hasn’t looked back since.  Alicia completed her initial teacher training in 2017, a 30 hour advanced sequencing training in 2018, and a 75-hour advanced level training called “The Art of Teaching Kula Style Yoga: or deconstructing creative alignment based flow with intelligence and precision” in 2019, and Firefly’s trauma-informed yoga teacher training in 2020.

Her approach to yoga is focused on developing a symbiotic relationship between movement and breath. Allowing space for the body to work as a whole is near and dear to her heart. An exuberant and inquisitive individual, Alicia strives to bring both characteristics into her classes. In addition to yoga, Alicia also loves contortion, rock climbing, reading, HIIT, and tennis. She is thrilled to be teaching and hopes to see you soon.
